The 2007 Metro is a home run!
The Metro, the largest softball tournament of its kind in the nation for 23 consecutive years, was a grand slam this year at Rumpke Ballpark. More than 300 teams stepped up to the plate this year with approximately 30,000 fans attending throughout the course of the tournament July 26 through August 8.

In preparation for the Metro, the ballpark staff put in long hours to get the park ready and keep it in top notch condition. They add additional staff and many work more than double the amount of their regular hours. Approximately 700 to 900 umpires are brought to the park to officiate the massive event.
